Warning: your mouse movements are being recorded

I just signed up for RobotReplay beta, a service that captures visitors every mouse movements, click and keystroke and it is free service at the moment.

I do not want to track your every mouse move, click or keystroke on this site, I know what most the problems are with this site and will fix it with the next redesign. What I really want to do is have a good look at RobotReplay, because it could be very useful for a couple of upcoming projects.

Let me know if you experience any problems using this site over the next few days, I would like to see if there any performance issues.

Nick — Wonder if this will work with a site being rendered within a rss reader (online or desktop) as opposed to the traditional browser.

  2. nick Says:

Gary only if you can force javascript into your RSS feed and the RSS reader understands javascript without confusing RobotReplay about the URL. The short answer no.

Hey Nick, there were _definitely_ performance problems :) We had a deluge of traffic as you might expect.

    Hope you like the service!

Dave, I was more concerned about any performance problems on this site with RobotReplay javascript. After checking the site a couple of times on dialup on the weekend, I am happy to report there did not appear to be any issues.

As for RobotReplay.com, I expected it to get hammered, it is a damn useful service and word travels fast about about good stuff on the interweb. So I expect some performance issues until you get lots of servers (or bought out by google, yahoo etc.)
